Domaine de Leyre-Loup: Beaujolais, FR

The Domaine de Leyre-Loup was founded in 1993 by Jacques and Christophe Lanson. Since that time, this father and son team has put into practice their passion for the art of winemaking and commitment to terroir along with a respect for the preservation of nature. It’s a craft that they will tell you takes the obvious requirements of know-how, hard work and dedication, but also a heavy dose of humility.

Today, the domain encompasses about 10 hectares of vines, where granitic soils are perfectly suited to the Gamay grape. The terroirs are hard and demanding, yielding wines of rare richness and quality. The vineyard holdings includes 7 hectares of Morgon and 3 hectares of Fleurie. They are on the renowned “lieux-dits” of Corcelette, Bellevue and les Côtes in Morgon and Poncié and les Combes in Fleurie.

The Domaine de Leyre-Loup bears a Terra Vitis certification for its sustainable agricultural practices and a High Environmental Value certification for its environmental approach.
