Les Pipelettes le Rouge is a lively, light and chillable red from Christelle Alias of Sainte Marie des Crozes, a domaine nestled in the wild and windswept northern edge of Corbières. Crafted with organically farmed grapes from vineyards in biodynamic conversion and relying on natives yeasts, it’s a solidly made, clean expression of low-intervention winemaking. Syrah and Grenache from limestone-rich slopes are fermented with a touch of semi-carbonic maceration adding lift and plushness. Juicy raspberry, violets, black tea, and spicy garrigue aromas jump from the glass, while the palate is fresh, silky, and effortlessly drinkable. Raised entirely in stainless steel, it’s vibrant and pure, with a light body and soft tannins that make it endlessly refreshing.
