'Balade à Rosé' Méditerrannée, 2024

Les Complices des Calanques

Les Complices des Calanques is a project born from the friendship and shared passion of five friends, chiefly François‑Xavier Barc of Complices de Loire and Yannick Burles, whose family has farmed near Sainte-Victoire for over 200 years. Together, they source fruit from select hillside plots east of Hyères, overlooking the Mediterranean and facing the Îles d’Or. The poor, rocky soils—rich in schist, quartz, and limestone—naturally filter and concentrate the fruit. Guided by Burles and his team, the grapes are farmed sustainably with organic practices, low yields, and precise canopy management. Barc vinifies with a light touch: direct press, cool fermentation, no additives. The result is a pale, luminous rosé with notes of vineyard peach, redcurrant, citrus, and coastal salinity. Light-bodied, fresh, and vibrant, it captures the breezy elegance of Provence—perfect for warm evenings and Mediterranean fare.
